This Privacy Policy explains how TaskBuddy ("the app", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information. By using TaskBuddy you agree to this policy.

What we collect
- Account information. When you sign in (email/password, Google, or Apple), we receive your email address and a unique account identifier. If you use "Sign in with Apple" with the private-relay option, we receive only the anonymized relay address.
- Your content. The tasks, categories, schedules, daily completion records, streaks, points, and selected buddy you create in the app. This is stored in your account so it syncs across your devices.
- Diagnostics & usage. Anonymous app-usage and crash data via Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, used to keep the app stable and improve it.
- Advertising. TaskBuddy shows an optional rewarded "save your streak" ad via Google AdMob, which may access advertising identifiers and device information to serve and measure ads. On iOS this only occurs if you grant tracking permission.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, health data, or microphone/camera input.
How we use your information
- To provide the core features: storing and syncing your tasks, streaks, points, and buddy across your devices.
- To keep the app reliable (crash reporting) and to understand general, aggregated usage so we can improve it.
- To send local reminder notifications you opt into (these are generated on your device).
- To serve and measure the optional rewarded ad.
We do not sell your personal information.
Where your data is stored and who processes it
Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics) and processed by Google as our service provider. Google AdMob also processes advertising data. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete account), which permanently erases your tasks, categories, daily records, streaks, points, and account data from our systems. You may also contact us at the email above to request deletion.
